WORTH REPEATING!!!
RAZ KIDS INFO: Students can choose to do Raz kids from home as a part of their reading homework. If they read from their "assignments" or "book room", this can be included on their reading log. Please do not include time spent in the "Rocket Room". The only exception to this will be on nights where they have reading group homework. Students must first complete their reading group homework BEFORE doing Raz Kids. Parents should have received the login info in your child's green folders...Thanks!!
2nd Grade Families: Xtramath! 2nd graders should be doing Xtramath (fact practice) from home AT LEAST once a week as a part of their homework. The kids are experts at this and do it regularly in class, so they should just need a reminder to go on the site. The rest should be independent. It only takes about 5 minutes to complete the activity. THANKS!
Dreambox... This is a math program similar to Raz Kids- it's designed so kids can work on math concepts at their own level. Currently, all 2nd graders are able to get in through both of our websites (off the Westgate School webpage) and we have practiced too. The district is in the process of adding the 1st graders, so we will let you know when the program is available to them... Soon, we're hoping!
